Liberty Women's Health provides focused-practice gynecological care, primary care dermatology. Our goal is to care for each patient in a unique, personalized fashion, and to provide safe, professional, compassionate care. Gynecology services include contraception counselling and birth control, IUD insertions, cervical cancer screening with pap tests, STI testing, assessment and treatment of menstrual problems,  and safe and effective treatment of symptoms of menopause and peri-menopause. We also provide customized treatment for hormonal acne.

Cervical Cance Screening - Pap Test

Cervical cancer is almost entirely preventable with the HPV vaccine, regular screening with the Pap Test, and appropriate and timely follow-up of abnormal results. There is no cost for Pap tests as they are covered by OHIP. No referral required.

Mirena, Kyleena, Copper IUD and Nexplano

Intrauterine Contraception (such as the Levornogestrel Mirena or Kyleena IUS, and the Copper IUD) and the Etonogestrel (Nexplanon) contraceptive implant provide superior, fully reversible, long-acting, protection against unplanned pregnancy. Referral or prior Birth Control Consult at LWH is required.

Birth Control, Contraception & Family Pl

There have never been more safe and effective birth control methods for women to allow us to decide whether or when we wish to have a pregnancy: IUDs, contraceptive implants, injectable contraception, birth control pills, patches and rings, and emergency contraception. A family planning consultation at Liberty Women's Health will help you understand the options, and support you in making the choice that is right for you.

Let's talk about periods! Crimson Tide, Aunt Flo, Time of the Month, Shark Week... Your period shouldn't feel like a "curse," because it isn't! Too many women suffer needlessly with period problems that negatively impact their quality of life, and may even have an undiagnosed medical condition that can improve with treatment. Visit us for an assessment if you have heavy menstrual bleeding, painful cramps, pelvic pain, or absent or irregular periods. (Appointments by referral)

Beautiful Skin

Acne is more than skin deep, and the effects can persist after blemishes have cleared: it may leave permanent scarring and dark marks, there are often significant emotional effects for those who experience acne. Book an appointment for an assessment of your acne concerns and to initiate a treatment plan that's right for you. Fees for medical skin health consultations are covered by OHIP.

Perimenopause and Menopause Treatment, H

The hormonal fluctuations during perimenopause and menopause are often associated with hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, discomfort with sex, insomnia, low libido and mental health changes that can significantly affect a woman's quality of life. There are safe and effective local and systemic, hormonal and non-hormonal therapies that can help you feel more like yourself during the transition. (Appointments by referral)

Upset Stomach

Premenstrual Syndrome, and its more severe form, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) are cyclical, hormone-based mood disorder with symptoms arising during the premenstrual, or luteal phase of the menstrual cycle, usually diminishing within a few days of menstruation. While connected to the menstrual cycle, they are not a hormone imbalance. We offer diagnosis and treatment.
